2.1 Account Information

When you create an account we collect:

  • Email address and password (authentication credentials)
  • Display name and optional profile photo
  • Phone number (optional, for contact discovery)

2.2 Call and Communication Data

When you use calling and messaging features we may collect:

  • Call metadata (participants, duration, timestamps)
  • Audio recordings of calls — only when a participant explicitly enables recording and all participants have been notified and consented
  • Transcriptions of recorded calls (when the transcription feature is enabled)
  • AI-generated call summaries (when the summary feature is enabled)
  • In-call chat messages and voice notes

2.3 Contact Information

We store the contact list you maintain within the app (names, phone numbers, and connection status). We do not access your device’s system contacts without your explicit permission.

2.4 Usage and Technical Data

We automatically collect:

  • Device type, operating system, and browser information
  • IP address and general location (country/region level)
  • In-app actions and feature usage patterns
  • Error logs and crash reports for service improvement
  • Push notification tokens (for incoming call alerts)

2.5 Billing and Credit Information

We track usage credits, token balances, and billing events within the application. Payment processing (if applicable) is handled by third-party payment processors who maintain their own privacy practices.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Memauri Service
  • Authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • Connect you with your trusted contacts for calls and messages
  • Process and store recordings, transcriptions, and summaries when you request them
  • Manage call credits, tokens, and billing
  • Send push notifications for incoming calls and messages
  • Improve and develop new features of the Service
  • Monitor for abuse, fraud, and policy violations
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Display advertisements to free-tier users (see Section 7)

4. Recording and Transcription Consent

Memauri takes recording consent seriously. Call recording is only possible when a participant explicitly enables it. All participants in a call receive a visible notification before and during any recording. You must acknowledge our recording consent policy during initial onboarding.

Recordings and transcriptions are stored securely and are accessible only to the call participants. We do not sell or share your recordings with third parties, except as required to provide the transcription or AI summarization service (see Section 5).

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following categories of third-party providers to operate the Service:

  • Infrastructure & Database: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage)
  • Real-Time Communication: LiveKit (WebRTC call infrastructure)
  • AI Transcription & Summarization: OpenAI (audio transcription and call summarization — audio is transmitted securely and not used to train models)
  • Push Notifications: Web Push / browser notification services
  • Advertising: Google AdSense (for free-tier users — see Section 7)

These providers only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Call recordings, transcriptions, and summaries are retained until you delete them or close your account. You may delete individual recordings and call history at any time from the History section of the app.

Upon account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
